Purple Finch and RS Hawk in flight

The Purple Finches have shown up again the past couple weeks here in Georgia. Hoping the Siskins show up as well. We even have an Evening Grosbeak in North Ga but I still havent got a chance to go try a photo. The Hawks also continue to be really active so Ive been practicing my BIF techniques. I shot this one with the AF lock-on set to short instead of normal. I also used 9 point AF instead of 21 point and I do think the AF was faster.

Both are well done Rich. Your focus looks very good on the hawk so the 9-point must be working well for you.
