Purple Fountain Grass

Discussion in 'Macro, Flowers, Insects, and Greenery' started by trenchmonkey, Sep 9, 2008.

  1. Backlit grass beckoned as I waited patiently for BIF...hence the "big rig"
used for this shot. D3 300 f2.8 VR/1.4x Thanks for looking.

  2. I like this shot alot! Good work
  3. Thanks, Sam. The light was sweet that morning.
  4. The patience required for wildlife often helps us see things that otherwise would have gone unnoticed. Well done, Will
  5. Thanks, Bob. You're so right...patience is not my strong suit but I'm getting
    better along those lines.

That grass has got some really great colour to it, nice shot Will.
  8. Very nice Will, sometimes when you can't find what you want to shoot the best opportunities appear!
  9. Thanks! I did...a few, but nothing to write home about.
  10. Thanks a lot, Robert.
  11. Appreciate it, Rich. Heh, the wind was blowing so I rocked from side to side
with the grass and got lucky.
  12. Sweet:biggrin:
  13. Unusual colors. Don't see that in our neck of the woods. Nice work, Will.
  14. The colors and composition make this a compelling image.
