Hope I'm posting in the right place. I'm wondering about a few things with the D80. I've had it once before, but can't for the life of me remember since switching from Canon. Here goes...

What's the "L" switch for on the back of the body?
    What's your autofucus setting? (AE-L, AF-L, etc.)
How do I change it so my focus button is on the back instead of the shutter (I like to press half-way to meter, recompose, focus, finish the shot)?
If I want the histogram on (color only) during preview, where do I set that?

    Thanks so much!
  2. 1. The L switch locks the four way hat switch to stop you accidently changing the focus point.
    2. Not sure what you mean by this?
    3. Custom Setting Menu option 18 - set to AF-ON
    4. When previewing a picture, press the four way hat switch up or down to scroll through to the histogram preview.

Thanks so much Dave! Appreciate that. Amazing how much you forget. This is one of the main reasons I switched back to the D80 after finding out the company I'm working for uses it. I would've felt like such a loser being used to my Canon 40D. Cheers.
