Question About the MB-D200

Discussion in 'Nikon DX DSLR Forum' started by Cabin, Dec 29, 2005.

  1. I am planning to purchase the MB-D200 and use 6 2500mhA batteries which would add a bit of weight overall.
I was wondering if the added weight of the MB-D200 helps in image stability?

    Better focus if you will.

    Thanks

It gives the whole setup actually a better balance in the weight, and yes, it does help in stablity in ways or sort. :)

I'd advise against using 6 AA batteries, reason is the camera takes in 7.4V, rechargables are approximately 1.2v totalling only 7.2V. You'd be better of with 2 EN-EL3Es.

One thing you're missing is the voice recording function that the older MB-D100 has, which surprisingly the MB-D200 is now lacking.

I reference the images off Europe-Nikon's site to see - http://www.europe-nikon.com/details.aspx?countryId=20&languageId=22&prodId=1101&catId=92
