Question for Nikon 100mm F2.8 Series E lens owners

Discussion in 'Lens Lust' started by andreasb, Jul 10, 2007.

  1. I like this lens it is so small and quite sharp. What I dont like is that my (?) copy varies dramatically in exposure when I change the aperture, sometimes more then a full stop.

Help me out does your do the same?

    hi andreas-

have you checked the aperture blades to see if they're sticking?

    ricky

  3. Yes I have check them and they have small traces of oil on the but they move really snappy back and forth without effort, but that could of course be the cause, thank you for suggestion

  4. I'm not aware of any problem with mine on my D200 or F4. What body/mode/metering system are you using it on ? I tend to use Matrix metering on both the D200 and the F4 and A mode.

  5. Matrix and A mode as well, well I guyess I have to get it cleaned, that probably it....

Thanks so much for the answers, it's great to be able to ask and get answers to even unusual lenses like this one!
