When I scan a B&W neg with my epson 600 and save it as a TIFF ,why cant I open it with CNX2 (is it because its in a 16bit format)? When I try to import the same file into LR3 it will not give me a preview but will let me import. TY

NX2 will read 16 bit tiffs, but has problems with the Alpha channel. If you have the option of saving the tiff with No Alpha Channel, it should then work. I regularly save very large 16 bit tiffs from PTGui, and they open fine in NX2 as long as I do this.

I assumed that Mark was scanning in B+W and thus creating a "Greyscale" image.

NX2 will not open Greyscale images - they need to be RGB.
