Quick AF test shot with new Sigma 150 macro

Nothing exceptional or exciting here, just a focus test shot.

I usually go right outside of my house and use my brick pavers to judge how much further I need to examine a lens' accuracy to focus. Shoot wide open at F2.8. I like to see a defined zone of accurate focus(DOF), where my test subject(the blue strip of paper)is roughly in the middle of this zone. The blue paper cut my focus point(as examined in View NX)right in half.

Nothing exceptionally accurate here, but kinda like what I see. At least I can tell that focus is in the ball park, and it appears as if nothing severe is going on...if you know what I mean with focus issues:eek: Hopefully I will not need any AF Fine Tuning, or at least very minimal, like a -1 or +1 adjustment.

any input appreciated

BTW, this lens feels so nicely balanced on my D3, hey...maybe I 'll forget about using it for Macro...and go the Telephoto Prime route!
