from my 81 year old neighbor,

"Don't tell me what you did yesterday,
tell me what you're going to do tomorrow."

Great advice whether the past has been negative or very sucessful.

Reminds me of a day a long time ago. I was at Lime Rock Park, a race track
in Connecticut, watching vintage Ferraris. This was before I was bit by the
photography bug. I walked up beside this older gentleman, standing next to the fence with two cameras with huge lenses. After a bit I said, "What a great day for taking photographs". He smiled and said, "Buddy, any day I can get out of bed, and draw my own breath is a great day".

Never forgot it.

My son called me tonight to tell me was wasn't doing well in one college course and it was too late to do anything about it, everything else is A's & B's.

My answer, "Don't worry about it, work on the things you can change."

"Don't tell me what you did yesterday,
tell me what you're going to do tomorrow."
