I was sitting in the patio drinking a glass of wine, just relaxing and all of a sudden about 7 or 8 Crows started making a huge rucus. I wasn't sure what started them off but after about two minutes of hearing them chatter I saw why they were cawing. A big Raccoon was the reason and it was in my back yard below the crows nesting tree. I had my camera out there with me and this is what I got.

They love all kinds of eggs and young. Hopefully the crows ganged up enough to rattle his cage but I doubt it. It looks determined to get a meal.

Enjoyed the shots... made me think of a burglar out working a second story job.
Thanks Gary, I was sure surprised to see him. I haven't seen one in my area in about 6 or 7 years.

Thanks for the reply Lou, The Crows sure did make racket
trying to get rid of him. I was sure wondering what it was all about until I saw him slinking around.

Be careful around him. We have lots, and they can get quite irritated about being pushed around.

Quick work with that camera. Nice "Urban Wildlife" series.

If you don't see many, maybe the local paper would be interest in your story, you got the images to show!
