For some reason RAW photos will not open in Elements 21. I get an error message saying Photoshop Elements cannot open this file. Even calling the Adobe help line did no good. They could not fix it. Have any of you encountered this problem or have a fix?

It seems your RAW-file are to new for Elements 21.
Download Adobe DNG-Converter. It's free ans makes *.DNG files from your *.RAW files.
Then work with the DNG files as usually.

Kind regards

Hi Klaus. Thank you for the suggestion. I downloaded DNG last night. I am still trying to get it to work. It has been many years since I have used it..

Just choose the source directory.
There will be no files shown.
I'm used to choose the same directory as output.
Click "convert".
That'a all.

Hi again. I tried the DNG converter. Even that doesn't work. Strange thing is that I can process photos with my D700 but not the D850. Nikon says it is not their problem but the Elements 2021 program. I will get this resolved...

Jim,
I've tested it with a D850 and with my new D6.
It works well.
How do you transfer your files from the camera to the PC/Mac?
I've done it with Nikon Transfer - and it doesn't work.
When using Nikon Transfer 2 it worked.

Otherwise please contact Richard (GrowlTiger).

Kind regards

Thank you. I downloaded Transfer 2 and it worked. It has taken since last Thursday to resolve this roadblock. Thanks again for all of your help...
