  1. Man this is a pretty bird!
  2. Yes they are -- one of my favorites. And, you have done a marvelous job with this one.
[I love the way they seem to prefer to perch at seemingly awkward angles.]

    Beautiful Dave,
    Woodpeckers and interesting birds.

Dave, another very nice shot. You are really getting in tight on these. How are you getting so close? If I get within a 100 feet of these guys, they leave.

Like the bird, uncle Dave. You should come down to Alabama sometime where I can put you in a bunch of these. And eagles too!

Yes it is a very pretty bird, and a very nice shot too. Way to go Dave!
  9. Hey Robert! thanks for the invite, hope to actually do that one day and I hope sooner thatn later. Spent a fun day with Mike and Tim last saturday.
  10. Steve,
I appreciate you man! Hope things are coming together for you in your winters nest. I read your posts on the pocket wizard questions and the intervolometer. cool stuff. Do you know if the D2X has the intervolmeter feature built in. I am not really sure what I would use it for, but there sure is some cool technology these days. hope you get the pocket wiz's going ok.
