Red Tail Hawk...(captive)

Heard about a local wildlife preserve close by that has an animal hospital, with some birds on display. So I drove over and it is set in the pine trees so the light was not that abundant and I had to shoot trough the chicken wired fencing, but am still pleased with the results.
Here are a few I grabbed of the red tail hawk which had an unfortunate encounter with a plane at McGuire AFB here in Jersey.
Taken with the D2H and either the 70-200VR or 300f4 with 1.4 tele

thansk Keith the cage was so dark I woudl have liked to shoot a little higher fstop but it wasnt to be

Mike, that third one is just awesome. I think the background being almost the same color as the bird is great. It's like a painter would do when they use the same color palette throughout a painting, everything just flows right!.
Great stuff as usual.
