Great light and background. There is the shadow of a stick you cloned out to the right of the tail in the first shot. Take a look at cleaning your sensor.

Thanks for these great photos! They remind me when (30 years ago) I'd go running on the levees of New Orleans. Every now and then I'd get dive-bombed by angry red-winged blackbirds
