I was given quite a display of action the other evening by both female and male Red-winged Blackbirds while at the local pond shooting Wood ducks. Here's a few of the shots I took.
Thanks Randy.good set Louie
#3 is my fav, great separation and feather detail
Thank you Allan.Nice ones - I like 1 and 2 best, 2 in one and flight.
Thanks Nick, I actually find the female more interesting to shoot.Great stuff, those females look most distinguished.
Appreciate it Dossy, thanks.I couldn't pick one! All four are my favorites!
Many thanks Darrell.Beauties, no doubt, they get the wowzer factor.
Thanks Mitch, I also find it difficult to get much detail on a male blackbird, they're fun to shoot but can be trying to process. These are great! I find these birds really tough to shoot. It's hard to get much detail in those black areas and the reds often clip the highlights.
Thanks Luis, you're so correct in trying to pull detail out of a solid black male BB.Very nice series. As you say male Blackbirds are tough to process. It's hard to get details in the black areas.
Thanks Bob.Wow...love them all.. great images
Most appreciate your comments Bobby, thanks very much.Your usual, high IQ images. Gotta give love to the RWBB.
