Delbert, your post has me wondering if perhaps your west coast birds have a different coloration than the reddish I stalk here in Florida. In your original post you do comment that your processing was "over cooked". Do you have a photo from this set where the coloring was more true to your eye even though the lighting was overcast?

Once I've processed the photos, I have a bad habit of deleting the original raw files (to save space maybe?), but here is the same Reddish Egret with a little bit of adjustments.

LOL (silly me), looks like i have to invest on external hard drives for the raw files...

External drives are well worth the investment. I try to always keep my RAW files.
