Shot this one early this morning with my D300 and 17-55. This is the first time I have tried a shot like this. I need to go back and work on the white balance and some other things.

Hope you enjoy!

No, I was in such a hurry to go out and shoot this, I didn't want to wake my wife up searching for it! Figures, whenever you need something you can never find it!

Jay.........excellent capture!!!! The D300 and 17-55mm is an awesome combo.

Cody.......

Thanks for that website with the lightning trigger. Looks like an awesome gadget to have, especially if you're trying to capture lightning. I'm one of those persons whom loves a good thunderstorm with plenty of lightning. I've tried a few times to photograph lightning but have been unsuccessful, well..........kind of successful, caught some images but not very usable. Looks like a new toy I may consider purchasing.
