Something to consider: Storage is so cheap and camera buffers are sufficient in most situations, especially party situations, that you would probably be just as well off shooting raw files. Then you wouldn't have to remember (I would never remember!) to switch to raw files after shooting JPEGS. Even if you have a need for immediate display of the JPEGs, you could shoot RAW+JPEG and have the best of both worlds.
