  1. Following Toms lead I couldn't post this in the animal forum for risk of hurting her feelings. This dog is so much like a human I am lobbying the IRS to allow me to take her as a deduction.
Taken with the D2X and the 70-200VR with SB 800 for fill flash here are two similar versions, I am partial to the first but Lorrie seems to favor the 2nd shot.

    Hey Mike,

I'm glad I started a trend. Riley is a beaut! And what georgeous light. A very nice golden glow to his portrait.

    Nice work.

  5. bow WOW!
Great looking family member there Mike.
I'm going to have to post a pic of Barney.
  6. Mike,

I agree with Lorrie. The second one makes a nice portrait to hang on the wall.
  7. Great portraits of your pooch, Mike. Very nice lighting, esp in the eyes.

    I find these stunning.

They almost seem to come off the page at you.

    Absolutely fabulous.

    Best wishes

  9. Thanks Tim that is the one that Lorrie likes too.
  10. Thanks Gale she has riveting eyes
  11. Thanks Tom the light was perfect today around here. Thanks for giving me the idea
  12. Thanks Dave lets see one of Barney still trying to corral my cats for some shots
  13. Thanks Melissa I will let Lorrie know you got her back
  14. Thanks Sandi the light was gorgeous today
  15. Thanks Ray I appreciate the kind words
  16. They are both beautiful shots Mike but IMHO the first is the best. It's the alertness in the eyes that gets you with that shot. Excellent work.

Reilly is a great looking animal....and he doesn't look as though he is shy about having his picture taken either. You did well capturing him and the detail is very nice with a pleasing backgound.
