Remaining cygnet

There was a swan nest many were following by the pond. Six hatched but 3 were gone before the next day. I took a few photos of the remaining 3 on the nest but they were not keepers due to the many twigs between me and the nest. I thought I would wait till the family was swimming off nest. Well, the next day the remaining cygnets were not seen. Reports were that snapping turtles "got" them.
Two days later I saw the family. One youngster did make it after all.
