Remote trigger for Promaster 7200EDF?

I have a no name trigger which is working fine on my Nikon SB-24 flash. But, it could never fire the Promaster 7200EDF flash. Googling, i have seen that many have trouble firing 7200EDF remotely. I checked the pins under the flash, and it has the same alignment as the sb-24 . Promaster manual and their support is not useful. They are asking me to try with new battery or try in Aperture mode . Anyhow, that is not working. It is a good cheap on camera flash. So, trying to get the best out of it before upgrading to Nikon CLS models. Any suggestions?

CLS is great but IMO you'll get much more control and VALUE out of learning manual off-camera flash. Buy a few Yongnuo YN-560 flashes for $60 each and some Yonguo triggers and you can have a complete set-up of several off-camera flashes with triggers, softboxes, stands and all for under $300!
