I was hoping there was a sticky/FAQ/tutorial on this subject, but after performing a search I did not find anything. If I missed it, I would appreciate being directed to the right place.

I currently use smugmug to host my images. I upload the full size file and then link to either the medium or large files when posting to the web. I see "resizing and sharpening for web" mentioned a lot. Should I be saving a separate file that is the correct size for forums rather than linking to smugmug's resize? Does smugmug's resize degrade the photo?

  2. I post all of my images at 900 x 600 both on my host site as well as here on the Cafe. I like to size my images myself as I do it in steps rather than all at once. I use Fred Miranda's Photoshop plug in "WP Pro" for sizing my images
