I am a new Nikon Cafe member. An amateur enthusiast that has migrated from the N80 to the D70 and now preparing for the leap to the D200. I also recently picked up a D40 at an attractive price for day hikes when weight and comfort is a factor and have decided to keep the 18-55 lens because of its light weight unless I get counsel otherwise from Nikon Cafe members. I have an 18-200 VR and Tokina 12-24. Really enjoy both lenses though I find the creeping on the 18-200 maddening. WITH THAT BACKGROUND, I am prepared to buy the D200 online for about $1,300 unless I am pointed to a better source here on the Nikon Cafe from a "trusted" member. Your help and comments will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Check out this thread to cure the creep problem on your 18-200:

As for the D200, I think there was one in the For Sale forum for around 1300 with a grip. You need 25 posts to see the For Sale forum so get posting, there are a lot of good deals in there and the vast majority of the people on this forum can be trusted.
