Very nice work Martin, I love flower shots
The flower in the penultimate picture looks almost unreal

I shot a whole bunch of shots today but wasn't happy with many of them at all. mainly my fault but I think I'm gonna check out the focus on my D300 tomorrow.

Ohhh my gosh Martin these are beautiful. That butterfly is looking at ya saying "Hiya...stop bugging me"...no pun intended.

Thanks one and all for your kind words. I found that many of the shots I took were a little soft. Having looked at the exif data, I had the shutter speed too low for the focal length of the lens. However there were a number of others that I could see no reason for the softness so I'm gonna check the D300 out later. Hope it's OK...

Hi John

Thanks for the comment. Yeah - I noted the eyes. I gave all my lenses a good clean this morning and may well head out now and do the focus tests I mentioned earlier. This time I'll use a tripod and a remote release to see if the problem is me (as I suspect) or the camera.
