A shot I have envisioned for a long time. I still want to get this in better light but it's the best of this I have so far.

They put their nest right over a bathroom entry door at the visitors center. I watched several people walk underneath and they didn't even notice them. The birds just go on about their business.

Sitting on the door hinge. He let me walk around while looking for a decent composition.

These Greenies have been so much fun to photograph this year. I love it when they cooperate. I was wishing he would land on this stump so I could do some verticals and lo and behold he did.

  2. As hard as the Woodpecker shot is to get the Greeny pulling the feather gets my vote. Totally nice set Andy

Thanks Gary. I was very happy when he did that too.

    Thanks Harry!

Thank you Gale. I agree with you, they are fun to watch running around. One of my coworkers has skinny legs and walks at 100 miles per hour so of course her nickname is Killdeer.
