Ring-necked Pheasant

During all of my hunting years I was never fortunate enough to have run into the number of pheasants that I have over the past couple of weeks while out shooting eagles and hawks. I seems like on every trips I see the more of these magnificant birds than I ever have in the past.
Here's a few shots from my last couple of trips, all shot out of the window of my truck.

Stellar job on these Louie. I saw them in December but they never got as close as this. They sure are fun to watch and as I recall they were real close to the eagle tree. No wonder they did not come out in the open around me.
