Better light today, I was out earlier, got out of driving daughter detail!

same setup as before, 200-400 with 1.4 handheld,

First some static shots after I placed myself in the grass and waited a bit,...... but I forgot I had my aperture open wide, so I have a narrower dof than I like for static shots, I keep it open for the flight shots for shutter speed. Oh well, what is a day of shooting without some little error?

then the flight shots started, Egrets and snows and GBH flying by, lots of fun today.

this shot the feller was weaving in and out of the trees, gave the autofocus a workout!

  4. Wade, great job of getting good exposures and focus on these guys. I can't wait for the day I can shoot some snowy egrets myself.

  11. Great shots Wade - nothing to complain about there, even the wide open shots up top - great for that 3D effect (to die-for bokeh)!

thanks Nick, the bokeh is nice, and that beak does help the 3D look
