Rookie Hummer photos

Discussion in 'Birds' started by helmet155, Jul 30, 2005.

  1. I have a feeder on my porch and snapped these this morning before heading out for a hike...

I really liked the colors on this guy (or girl?)

These little buggers are really hard to shoot, a speedlight sb800 would help a lot!

I was pretty happy to get this shot of him just still, he's so little!

C&C Welcome, as I do wish to improve my skillset.

Way to go, Brett. Nice images to get your feet wet with hummers. I hope to get some captured....someday. Keep going for more.....
  3. Thanks for the comments, I am having a lot of fun playing with this AF-S 80-200.

No luck with the hummers yet eh?

I haven't even seen one to shoot... Thank goodness anything faster than a turtle, I miss :>)))

    Good job. Nice pics.

I would guess it take mucho time to learn this skill.

I will never undertke that challenge.

Heck I could miss an Elephant.
  5. Hi Brett

Nice shot Brett, like the second as you can see more of him. Flash definitely does help even just for fill flash.

Gale you crack me up :p

Good job Brett. I got my first hummers recently. They are definitely a challenge.
  7. Nice shots - you've done well, esp for rookie. Love the little feet...
