Didn't make it to the pond today but did catch a couple in the back yard/

I think this first one is a rufus sided towhee, female perhaps. wish I could have caught all of her. normally a ground bird.

And of course a female cardinal

    Just couldn't stand it huh??

Very nice songbird captures. Never seen that first species before.
  3. I think you're right. Notice her right pinky is extended. Sorry, couldn't resist. Nice shots though, especially the cardinal.

Noticed that you're from Fayetteville. My wife's uncle and his wife live there. His now-deceased wife used to run an insurance agency there. Nice countryside.
  4. Nice shots Greg. The female cardinal shot is very detailed. Impressive!! :D :D :D
  5. We call them spotted Towhees around here, named I guess for the white spots on the black feathers on the outer wings.
  6. That is a Towhee but its a male! The female is brown on the head, not black. Nice shot!
