Anyone know how to get rid of these text pop-up notifications? I've tried every setting I can find. Samsung Galaxy S9

If you want to keep Google Assistant enabled, but turn off notifications:
Settings / Apps / Google / Notifications / slide the button to turn it off

If you want to disable Google Assistant:
Open the Google App (if you don't have an icon for it, go to [All Apps] and type "google" in the search box)
Tap the "... more" in the bottom right-hand corner
Settings / Google Assistant / [Assistant] tab / Phone / slide the button to disable Google Assistant

Okay, try this: press & hold the Google Assistant bar on the home page until 2 little icons appear. Tap the one for [(i) App Info]. Scroll down the App Info page to see that "Notifications" says "Blocked". If not, change it, of course.

Found it! Under Advanced Features - a thing called Smart Pop-up View. I swear this is the most overly complicated version I've seen. Tons of useless features.
