Sandhill Crane sitting on nest

Two years ago I followed a Sandhill crane family from the hatching on March 1 till the end of the month when I left Florid to go home. This year the eggs had not hatched by 3/18. As good parents do, they did not give up.

I heard the second egg still has not hatched. I am going one last time tomorrow (before heading home) and hope to get more shots of baby in the feathers.
