Sandhill in flight....and lousy light

Making excuses already.... FYI, long story, but I'm in the process of switching to a more powerful laptop and PS is over there and I'm stuck here. So what you see is straight from Capture. Which in most cases does a darned good job.

Caught this guy early Monday at Viera. When I try to lighten the shadowed underside I get a reddish tinge that I don't think looks right, unless it's just warm morning light. Or do these guys get a hint of red during mating season? Anyhow, I'm always happy just to get a flight shot that is all in the frame!

Gordon,

Really nice shots.

Funny how birds colors change with the light.

They look right on to me. I got a couple of them before they took off in early morning tht day also and noticed they looked darker color than usual.

Good job
