What an exciting game! Bro Rice, my son's team was losing to their arch rivals 24-10 with 4:04 left to play. They scored two touchdowns in less than two minutes to tie it, and forced their rival to punt with 42 seconds left. After 3 plays gained us 32 yards, we set up for a field goal to win:

    1. 51 yd field goal with no time on the clock:

I was happy with my first attempt with the D300 and flash
my ISO was between 640-800 Flash set astep below 1/2 power
  5. Tim,

From the looks of these I have to ask this question.... WHY do you ever want to shoot in daylight again? To quote Tony the Tiger "They look Grrr-reat!!"

This also proves that flash sync at 1/250 works to freeze action due to the effect that a peak of flash has on the subject. I'm sure you can explain it much better than I can.
  6. Nice shots here!! Who needs day games?

    Thx Frank and mike

I'll get te accurate data tonight when I get back home, but I was up to ISO 800 and flash at 1/4 (x2), 2.8 1/250.

To many trips to Battle Creek? thx, Steve. I'll take sunlight almost everyday over Southfield Lathrup's field. Nicely lit, but, it's still night!!

Thx Mitchell, just making lemonade......
