These are the first pics on my 18-70mm lens. My first lens, on my first DSLR. Comments appreciated, but please be nice to newbies

What is Bento? Bento is a single-portion takeout or home-packed meal common in Japanese cuisine. A traditional bento consists of rice, fish or meat, and one or more pickled or cooked vegetables as a side dish. (wiki)

The arrangement of a bento box can be seen as an artform. As we say, presentation is everything, right?

This is nothing fancy (check out bento blogs for fancy ones - they make carrot stick designs and happy faces on rice balls), but still, nothing beats a homemade meal!

big thanks to the gf for packing a yummy lunch.
  2. Cool stuff- I love Bento boxes and seeing these pics brings back fond memories of the wonderful examples available in my old office building in Tokyo. GF has done a great job!
