Can the Sb-800 be placed on a stand and fired remotely from a D80 or do i have to buy additional remote equiptment for it to do it? Thanks again you guys are a great help to us noobs!

  2. The D80 and the SB800 are all part of the Creative Lighting System by Nikon. The short answer to your question is YES.

I understand the pop-up flash mode in menus needs to be set to 'Commander' for it to work.

    All the best.
