We are lucky in Washington state to have the highest population of Bald Eagles in the Lower 48 Thanksgiving to mid-January, depending on the Chum salmon run in late fall.

I wasn't quite ready to shoot, just arriving and setting up my Tripod/Gimbal and these guys were at it, so pulled the camera out and shot at whatever settings the camera was set at.
having the 500 PF on it, gave me a bit too much reach for these guys.

Image # 1 is after he chased on the other bird in image # 2.

Lesson learned is to set up the camera before you get out of your vehicle, just in case.
