Searching for Lunch

  1. I was down at the beach today, and saw these two looking for Horseshoe Crab eggs in the sand.

This is a Ruddy Turnstone and a Sandpiper.
Here is a group of Sandpipers

    Comments welcome as always:smile:

    Nicely done Ed!

I am not used to seeing beaches like that. Most of my beach experience has been along the gulf coast where they are white and sandy. Actually crushed quartz in most cases. This one looks like it would be rough on your bare feet!
  3. Hi Andy.
Thanks for your comments. This is not a bathing beach. It is in a wildlife preserve. I would imagine it is crushed shells and stones on a sand base.It is along Delaware Bay a few miles in from the ocean.

  5. Thanks Gale,
It is so nice to have warm weather and birds to shoot. I was getting cabin fever this winter. Thanks for your comments.
