Sedona Landscape adding clouds

This is a shot from Sedona, AZ I took last year. The original pic was all blue sky, no clouds. Today's project was to learn how to add the big puffy clouds in photoshop. This is the tutorial that I followed http://phlearn.com/adding-clouds-episode-39-wednesday

I haven't watched the video...but I'd suggest more careful masking .. The clouds "cut off" just above the rocks...especially above the lighter colored rocks in the middle.

One would expect the clouds to extend "behind" the rocks in most cases in this scene...

Otherwise, good work.

I see your point, I think the clouds actually end there but a better placement of the cloud layer might be better. I'll have to work on that, thanks for your input!

I really like the original image and wish to see the video. However, Karen is right. The clouds seem not to be perfectly "masked" in some parts of the picture.
