Self-irony about an old italian problem... :)

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by italy74, Jul 20, 2007.

  1. Hi all there
a colleague of mine, Sardinian, sent me this "fake", joking with one of the few real problems still affecting the inner Sardeny now and then, brigandage and kidnapping.

    The poster states:

You will feel "enchanted(1)" by our hospitality

Guesting you with all respects is for all of "Rapitour"(2) is a long tradition. Our escorts will come and pick-up you directly at home to escort you to the final, exclusive refuge, where we'll offer you all comforts really needed for such holiday: a home-made cooking, a windy and cool, healthy environment, nature oriented and where the mobile phone finally won't ring any longer, not to mention the pictoresque and unknown landscapes you will be able to enjoy in the meantime. Then you will have for free, suggestive night transfers now and then and an unbelievable holiday bonus for who overcomes the 300th day of staying. But the non plus ultra of our offer is that... SOMEONE ELSE WILL PAY FOR YOU!"

    (1) enchanted, in italian "rapito", has the same word for "kidnapped"
    (2) word play around a famous tour operator, "Alpitour" that here becomes "rapi-tour" where rapi- stands for "kidnapping"
  2. Pretty interesting...I had to go to Babelfish to translate it.
