Sensor brush Okay for mirror/screen?

    Dear readers,
    Was camping with my brother and he mentioned that he could see dust in his viewfinder. I took a look, popped the lens off and could see that there was dust and lint on his mirror and focusing screen.

    My question, after I shoot some air on them with my blower bulb would it hurt to use my sensor brush to further clean either if needed. I know the mirror is very delicate and have cleaned them on my old slr bodies but, sure don't want to mess up his D50. I just was thinking that if the brush could be used on the sensor it might not hurt the mirror/focusing screen. Thanks in advance, Bill
