Sent my 17-35 to Nikon today

  1. The autofocus was getting a little sluggish, and it has the dreaded squeak. It is less than a year old, so it's covered by the warranty. Hopefully it won't take too long to get it back....I miss it already.
  2. Hope you get it back real soon. I love my 17-55 too.

    David, I sent mine in also, wasn't under warranty, cost just over $200 I think. They cleaned everything and replaced the motor. It works awesome again! Turn around time was less than three weeks, but I sent it to them overnight with a note. I would call them after they get it and ask them to rush it.

  6. It's back, it's back!

    Got it back today, and it's better than new. That's about 16 days from the time I sent it in.

    Life is good now!

    my 17-35 is not sharp on the right side of the photo, when blown up to 100% compared to a straight 35f2 or my new 17-55. I have to send it back to Nikon,
