Share Share your Mobile Device photos

This is going to be SUCH a fun thread! Thanks for starting it, Terri!

One thing that is so cool about mobile device photography is the very spontaneity of it and that is amply demonstrated right here in the thread already! An idea pops into one's head, a scene in which one is walking by or doing something suddenly prompts thoughts of capturing it, etc., etc..... I've done quite a few of those when I've seen an interesting flower or object or scene when I've been out-and-about. No camera around my neck? No problem -- grab the iPhone and shoot....

Yeah, Wade, you started me on a roll now -- I think I had last used Photo Booth and an iPad for photos probably three iPad generations ago and for some reason had totally forgotten that either of my current iPads even have the capability of shooting images! LOL! So last night I had a lot of fun playing with Photo Booth..... Got a few more images to look through and resize before maybe sharing a couple. I'm definitely on a roll!!!!

Terri, thanks for the compliment on my computer desk setup! I'll admit it doesn't always look that neat and tidy! Every now and then I have to get out the Windex and wipe down the glass, so had moved papers and stuff out of the way for that. Perfect timing to decide to take a photo or two with the iPad! Unseen in the photo are the small wheeled laptop desk which is at right angles to the main computer desk (right now the 12" MacBook is in residence there), and the printer is on a small glass workstation immediately adjacent to the main workstation. Not exactly one's standard living room furnishing setup, but, hey, it works for me! I love being able to look out at the lake while at the computer.

I’ve been taking turns bringing one of my crazy dogs with me on my daily walks, having the dog on a leash does not allow me the luxury of bringing any camera other than my phone. The rose was taken after a 16f night, it’s about done for the year. A few phone photos from my wandering around town.

My iphone has been very helpful for me since my pup tends to run away whenever I break out my DSLR. While I can't get anything like the great pet portraits posted here, I do get some decent shots with some luck.

A few from my adventures in October at Blink Cincinnati event. I mainly used the Nikon Z6 & 24-70/4, but when I remembered, I grabbed a few cell shots with my trusted Google Pixel 2 XL.

I really like how close a phone camera can focus!

We were able to touch the dragonfly. But the fact is: phone took a usable picture while doing so!

All these photos are great. Work and family obligations are keeping me from spending much time on the cafe right now, but I have looked at all the photos here and am learning more from all of them about the capabilities of cell phones.
