Shining Bronze Cuckoo

Shining Bronze Cuckoo

The Shining bronze cuckoo is able to eat prey that a lot of other birds won't, such as stinging hairy caterpillars. They posses a gizzard with a special thick lining which pulls off all the stinging caterpillar spines and these will later be regurgitated by the bird.

Scientific name: Chrysococcyx lucidus
