Shooting and custom settings bank

OK, so this is just a rant of sorts. this is also the first time I am trying to program a dslr even though earlier acquisitions (less complex than the 500) had similar abilities. A couple of thing come to mind.

Shooting and Custom Settings Bank and extended photo menu banks
1. I really like the 500's Custom banks and especially the extended. I shoot mainly birds in flight and macro and as you can imagine many of the settings are dramtically different. With this system, that many of you are aware of, I can switch between the 2 relatively quickly.
2. I like that I can save the settings and later reload them.

What I don't like
1. That there is no way to copy a bank to another bank. A real bummer the first time you set it up. This is really over 500 unique settings. that's a lot even though many are the same.
2. I wish there was a way that the banks could be reset without the card in the slot and the setup file on it. But my work around is to leave it on all the cards and another backup at home.

All in All, I'm really going to like it. I just need to remember that if I change anything I need to reload my default settings.

Any hints or tips would be appreciated.
