  1. Dirt Track Racing at the famous Lodi Cycle Bowl in Lodi CA.
Man I really miss riding these things. Handle bar to handle bar at 80-90mph going sideways is fun.
I was lucky enough to capture a few of the guys doing their thing.
First the little guys---I wanta be just like dad--

Love it. I'd love to get out there one of these days. Lots of history in that little bowl.
  3. We are lucky. Over the years we have seen kenny Roberts, Chris Carr, Wayne Rainey, Bubba Schobert, and many others.

Good timing, David. I would suggest less DOF next time out, to blur the background. Or try panning to blur the background.
  5. Jim,
Good point. I was using a 80-400VR and should have probably used it wide open with a different shutter speed. This particular venue does not need a long lens. The shots of the pros were taken at very short range about three feet off the inside of the track as they were coming through turn 3.
