looking for suggestions on a shoulder type bag to carry

D80 or D50 with room enough for 18-200 attached or similar size lens
room for 12-24 or 50 1.4 and maybe flash
like the look of the crumpler series
more of a canvas type material instead of the lowepro/ tamrac nylon
do have a Tamrac bag when I want 80-200 attached
but looking for something smaller/ less "camera" bag looking

    thanks in advance
  2. Think Thank Photo has a new line of shoulder bags that meet most of your requirements. Check out their Urban Design line of bags here.

    any owners here ?
and which model do you have and what do you fit in it ??
  5. Domke bags are my favorite shoulder bags -- have been using them for years. Check them out!
  6. Oh yea I forgot about those. For a short while I had a Domke F-3X and that would fit the D80 with the 18-200 plus a 50mm and/or a flash. I traded mine away due to issues with my bad back but I thought it was a nice small bag. Not much padding though. You might want to consider a Crumpler 6 Million Dollar home, or a Domke F3X.

This thread has some nice photos of the Domke F3X, and Uncle Frank has some nice photos of his 6 million dollar home here.

    thanks Fred
love the color of the Domke....tired of choosing bwt. black and blue
I have a blue Tamrac holster bag, and a Tamrac velocity 8x, mainly so I can fit my D80 and 80-200 attached in bag
of course both are blue (barrf)
have a nice Pelican soft big bag, that I kind of store what I am not using
the think tanks look very cool, with some kind of newer takes on bags
    Domke nice too
just sold a Tamrac backpack ( what was I thinking ?)
    and have another Tamrac holster
what a pain in the a**
    thanks again
  8. No problem, I've gone through a dozen bags myself this year.

loved the look and feel..almost military in its buiild
fits my D80 with attached lens, room for another lense, flash and a few essentials
    thanks for the input
  10. As I said, Domke bags have been my favorite for many years. Congratulations!

Go with the Domke........it's a favorite of mine as well. For those days when I don't want to carry much either I use a LowePro bag.
