I purchased this lens from B&H's used dept about a year ago and I've been very pleased with it. When I purchased the Sigma 120-300 f2.8 DG EX HSM OS. I was going to sell the 100-300..After careful consideration I have decided to keep it..Considering I get results like this..

Hi Barry:

I recently purchased this lens used too--I would not sell it. It is an awesome lens--makes music. JT

It has replaced my 70-300 VR as my "kayaking" lens

If anything goes it may be the 70-300, although that one is good walk around lens

It is a fine lens. I sold mine a couple months ago after owning it for about 4 years. I will likely miss it! I loved that lens. However, my lust for another lens got in the way.....

Great shots!

Nice shots William. I haven't dared to try mine with tubes since dof is already so shallow @ MFD. But maybe I'll give it a go. : )

JT

I cranked it to f16 and used manual focus and flash...!

From my sharpness testing this lens stays razor sharp from f7.1 to f22 on my
D7k... All you need is good light and high shutter speed, or flash, and you'll
be good to go and even able to crop 'till the cows come home if you need to...!

Now all "I" need is for it to stop raining...! :frown:
