Sigma 150 2.8 with 1.4x or 2.0x converter

Hello Everyone,

I just got a Sigma 150 2.8 and tried some shots in my wife garden. I love this lens but thinking about using either 1.4x or 2.0x converter. Which one would extend the focal length longer with nice pictures?

Thanks for your inputs. If you have some pictures of each teleconverter with your Sigma 150 or any Sigma zoom ranges I would appreciate your time and effort. :Love:

Both. The 1.4 is exceptional with the 150/2.8 and the 2X is much better than I anticipated though I use it rarely as it does not autofocus.

I have the Sigma 1.4 and 2x TC for use with my 150mm 2.8 and 120-300.

As Mike has already said the 2x does not autofocus with the 150mm, although for macro work this is not so much of a problem.

Here is one shot of a number I have done with the 150 with and without the 1.4 TC at various f stops.
