The modest Sigma EX 28 f/1.8 DG on my D200 saw some bulls. Moo moo!

I like that last one the most, a nice surreal quality to it! I noticed you have the Nikon 28mm f/1.4 as well! Any chance of some wide open comparison shots?
  3. Nicely done. I should use mine more because I especially like the close focus feature.
  4. Nice. The f/2 looks pretty good, too. I am also curious as to a comparison. Most of the images I've seen from the Sigma fast-wide series (20/1.8, 24/1.8, 28/1.8) have been pretty soft wide open, but I haven't seen very many. Your f/2 image is a lot better.

As an aside, I wonder if Sigma has perhaps quietly changed their optical formulation on this lens over the years?

    hi peter,

would you mind also posting those photos on my thread asking about which sigma primes? they are excellent examples of lens performance that i think could be useful there!!!

thanks for contributing them to the forum for us to see!

Again those shots are great; some very nice colours from the miscellaneous car panels. As mentioned previously the f/2 is perfect!

looks like a keeper. Im hinging on this lens or if the extra 4 mm(6mm effective on DX) at 24 is where Id like to go. How about some wide open low light.
  12. I first thought these were the two from Merihaka, Helsinki, but it seems they aren't (from the shot with a gas station). I used to live close to them in Sörnäinen.

But they are Miina Äkkijyrkkä's sculptures, right? Where are they?

Nice shots. The 1st one is my favorite.
