I was out in the yard yesterday and I find myself using this lens more and more. I wish it was longer as it is optically much better than my Nikon 70-300 VR lens, and focuses just as fast if not faster than it on my D50.

All these taken at ISO 400 because I forgot to change it...again.

The range on this lens is good, but it really would rock if it was 50-200 with f/2.8 constant. I like the lens mostly because it is more compact than most 70(80)-200 f/2.8 lenses which can get rather large and heavy.

I've been using the lens for a few months and am very impressed. A bunch of my photos are at http://www.pbase.com/islaguy/sigma_50150

Very nice pictures Dave,
I just got this lens yesterday as it fits my needs better than 85 F/1.8 that i returned at the risk of getting funny comments. Lol
