1/2 shut and this is just field "testing"...certainly nothing I'd be printing. ;)

Well Will. I really like the shot and the detail you got with the lens is surprisingly good. Was this shot with the D500? How is the VR on the lens? How does it compare weight wise and VR performance to the 150x600 Sports you once had??

It was. OS (VR) about the same...should be noted I hardly ever use it as most of my subjects move. Little lighter and more compact,
the 60-600 balances better and is sharper than the earlier Sport wide open @600mm. This is where mine lives, HTH :D

Hi Will , looking good, now how is AF speed compared to a 500mm F4 VR and a 200-500mm?
About right in the middle of the two, Andreas. Very pleased with capturing subjects coming right at me, thanks! ;)

This with the D810....the D500's keeper rate is even better!!
